Interview with Isabelle Zehnder and Rose Moore

Rose Moore, of the Rose Moore Show, interviewed Isabelle Zehnder, Founder and President of the Coalition Against Institutionalized Child Abuse (CAICA). They discussed the teen-help industry and the concerns about children who are abused, neglected, and who are dying in residential treatment settings. To listen to the shows that aired on March 3 and March 10, go to www.caica.org. You will find links to the shows on the right tab on the front page of the website.

Sadly, many people have taken advantage of families who are seeking help for their chilren and teens. They have literally hundreds of websites leading to the same programs - programs that do not provide what they promise. They are not regulated and there is no Federal governmental oversight. And most of these facilities do not have a therapist on site.

It is critical that parents take the time to do their homework and to seek out what is best for their child. Sometimes it seems like an easy fix - sending the child or teen away. But often the kids have come back in worse shape than when they left. There are many options ... if you question what you should do please call us at 360-903-3951 for a free one-hour consultation. We would be more than happy to provide you with resources and options.
